Publishing

Publishing is literally the process that involves the production of a particular work by an author and then the dissemination or spreading of that work. It is the process via which certain information is made available for public viewing. Publishing can be seen as encompassing all of the stages of development that a book (or magazine, article or any such piece of information) must go through in order to reach its intended or target audience. These will often include developmental stages, acquisition stages, then things like copyediting, the design of any graphics or logos (such as a book cover) that will accompany the product, followed by the productions stages, which will necessarily include the printing, marketing and distribution of the finalised product. This that are published in this way could be your typical books, newspapers, magazines, other literary works (poems, collections, anthologies), even musical creations and electronic software are all in need of the benefits that proper publishing will bring.
